EN 302 774 V1.2.1 is now the oldest version of the standard which can be used to provide a presumption of conformity with the essential requirements of article 3.2 of the R&TTE Directive.
EN 302 774 V1.2.1 is the Harmonised Standard for Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) base-station systems operating in the 3.4GHz to 3.8GHz frequency band. EN 302 774 is applicable to both Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD) technologies.
The 3.4GHz to 3.6GHz band in the UK is currently managed and used by the Ministry of Defence who also share the band with some civil users. The UK Government has indicated that it plans to release additional spectrum resources in the 3.4GHz to 3.6GHz band which will most likely be refarmed for future 4G and 5G mobile broadband services. As such EN 302 774 is likely to become an increasingly important Harmonised Standard.
