EN 302 567 V1.2.1 is now the oldest version of the standard which can be used to provide a presumption of conformity with the essential requirements of article 3.2 of the R&TTE Directive.
EN 302 567 V1.2.1 is the Harmonised Standard for Broadband Radio Access Networks (BRAN); 60 GHz Multiple-Gigabit Wireless Access Systems (WAS) and Radio Local Area Networks (RLAN) Systems and is therefore applicable to IEEE 802.11ad technology.
IEEE 802.11ad supports very high data throughput of up to 7 Gbits per second and has been designed to support the streaming of High Definition (HD) video.
In the UK, these systems are able to operate in the 57 GHz to 66 GHz band with transmitter output power levels of up to 40 dBm eirp on a Wireless Telegraphy Act (WTA) licence exempt basis.
